Born in San Antonio, Texas, Wright Moore graduated from Amherst College, cum laude, in 1988. Wright remained in the Northeast and attended Boston’s New England Conservatory of Music, where he earned a Master’s of Music in 1993. After an eleven-year career as a lyric tenor that took Wright to opera houses in the U.S., Canada, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Switzerland, Wright turned his full attention to painting in 2002. Wright studied art as an undergraduate at Amherst College and then pursued advanced art education at the Art Students League of New York and at the Ridgewood Art Institute. Wright is a Resident Artist Member of the Salmagundi Club.
Wright exhibits his work in the Hudson Valley at the Images Gallery in Briarcliff Manor, NY, and at the Flatiron Gallery in Peekskill, NY. In his work Wright expresses elements of form and atmosphere, seeking always to create interesting designs. His first “one man show” opened November 1, 2007 at the Images Gallery in Briarcliff Manor.
